The university has over 2,500 staff, of which 1,500 of them are full-time lecturers and professors. The university also uses modern teaching methods and has invested in cutting edge research facilities comprising of 24 research centres and three modern laboratories supported by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science and Technology and the XPCC.  This effort has indirectly created at least 18,000 job opportunities for the locals.
